A modern fable in verse. Wise Monkey Wrought scroll N.012, "The Shopping Trolley." The trolley had three wheels in agreement and one with ideas of its own. A trolley joined the shopper's quest, a loyal cart, or so it seemed. Three wheels rolled forward, doing their best. The fourth wheel quietly schemed. It pulled the cart a touch to port on every aisle, by slow degree. The shopper fought, and fought, and fought, and lost the battle on aisle three. The list said milk, the list said bread. The trolley chose a finer route. It cruised the wines and cheese instead and brimmed with cheerful disrepute. Three wheels agree. The fourth decides where you go.
